My first meeting of Girls Who Code

The first meeting of Girls Who Code was very interesting, they talked about what we were going to be learning and the tools we would be using. We were going to be learning how to write our own codes, we will also be using computers and websites such as Scratch and Code.org. Another thing they said we would do is watch inspirational videos about women who code. The next thing we did was sign into the website Scratch. Scratch lets you write code using a visual editor and it writes the javascript for you since I don’t write javascript, yet.

Like Courtney, Jessalyn is smart, kind and she’s a coder.

Hi Jess, I’m Carin, a adult non-coder, who’s in awe of coders like your dad. And now you. I’m more about content, leaving the coding to others. But I sure do appreciate your creativity. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your blog. Looking forward to reading more. The video is awesome, inspiring. Keep on.

    Hi Jessalyn –

    You’re awesome!

I’m a girl who codes in San Diego, and I LOVE that you are interested in learning more about programming and website development 🙂 One day at a time, one line at a time – you’ve got this.

I’m looking forward to meeting you at WordCamp Nashville!
